![]() ![]() So if we go over to the fusion tab with fusion. Since I was able to add VFX elements to a video clip without create a new fusion clip in DR 16 and not in 17, is it a bug in 17, or was my workflow not correct in 16?Īlso, as a side question, if I turn a video clip into a fusion clip (right click, new fusion clip) is there a way to revert this without CTRL-Z, say for example you convert to a fusion clip, close DR reload the project.Īpparently it was user error, as it's working fine this AM. So a fusion composition is a blank canvas for you to be able to work from. I never had to "create a new fusion clip" to add vfx elements in DR 16. ![]() after much testing, I found the following works: ![]() I tried with previous projects and with new projects and found that my previous workflow: I go back to the edit screen and put the vfx element on the timeline and it displays properly, however in the fusion tab it does not. Fusion is ideal for everything from quick fixes such as retouching and repairing shots to creating true Hollywood caliber effects. however all previous vfx elements that were added this way work perfectly, only new ones. The Fusion page is where you can let your imagination go wild and create cinematic visual effects and motion graphics It’s built into DaVinci Resolve and features a node based workflow with hundreds of 2D and 3D tools. when I put my vfx element in my view window, nothing is displayed, it appears empty (sometimes black background, sometimes transparent). I loaded up my video in DR 17, and noticed I missed a visual element, so I did the same as before, selected the clip, clicked fusion and when I added my elements from my vfx library, and connected via a merge node, my vfx element is not visible in my media out. While working with DR 16, when I wanted to add some VFX to a clip, I would select the clip, click the fusion button at the bottom of the screen, and then add my VFX elements (gunshots, smoke, fire, etc), and everything would be displayed properly. I have recently discovered something acting different in DR 17 and DR 16, not sure if it's the way I am doing it, or by design. ![]()
